About Untrained Chef

I'm a home cook, not a chef. I run this site because I got tired of scrolling past five paragraphs of food-blogger backstory before reaching the actual recipe. Everything here is something I actually make for my family — tested in my own kitchen, written the way I would tell a friend.

Why three languages

My family lives between Norway and Poland, so every recipe is here in Norwegian, Polish, and English. Same recipe, same family kitchen — just so everyone can read it. If something reads oddly in your language, send me an email and I'll fix it.

How the site stays free

The site is supported by Google AdSense — small text and display ads alongside recipes. No paid placements, no sponsored recipes, no affiliate links snuck into ingredient lists. If a recipe is here, it is because we actually make it.
